Bay of Islands Bus Pass

If you're looking for a chance to escape Auckland for a couple days, this bus pass is the one for you. The pass includes travel from Auckland to Paihia / Bay of Islands - a piece of New Zealand paradise with a sub tropical climate and heaps of beaches to explore. 

You can add this onto any of our other small group tours or bus passes if you have a couple extra days to explore. In the summer on the way from Auckland to Paihia, we include a stop at the Goat Island Marine Reserve where you can snorkel in the incredibly clear waters. 

Once you arrive in Paihia, you can head out and explore the Bay of Islands or book a day tour up to the very tip of the North Island - Cape Reinga and 90 Mile Beach.

This pass starts in New Zealand’s largest city Auckland, known as the ‘city of sails.’

We depart for the beautiful Bay of Islands from 7.00am. This relaxed seaside town of Paihia is often called the ‘gateway to the Bay’. We stop en-route for a chance to snorkel at the Goat Island Marine Reserve (summer), New Zealand’s first marine reserve, before cruising up to Paihia for a relaxing afternoon in the stunning Bay.

Optional Paid:  Catch the ferry across to historic Russell (New Zealand’s ex-capital), skydiving, Hole in the Rock boat trip, diving.

Enjoy a sleep-in today, or explore the beachside town of Paihia. The bus takes off in the afternoon and you head back to the Big Smoke (aka – Auckland).
