Today we head down through the Canterbury plains and to Peel Forest for a big day on the New Zealand's best and most extreme white-water rafting adventure trip!

Experience 3 hours of incredible grade 5 rapids, amidst spectacular scenery. By the time you reach the rip-roaring grade 5 section where the gorge narrows to a pinch, you're fully prepared and ready for action. The rafts stop before these rapids and you can walk around them if you prefer. But there's more - an optional jump off a ten metre cliff!

From here we drive into Mackenzie Country and to the stunning Lake Tekapo for an optional Air Safari of Mount Cook and Glaciers. Air Safaris will take you on an unforgettable scenic flight exploring the alpine wonderland of New Zealand's highest mountains, mighty alpine glaciers and lush coastal rain forests.

After a lunch stop on the shores of Lake Wanaka we cross the fords to Mount Aspiring National Park and into the wilderness of the Matukituki Valley. From here we undertake a half day return hike to the Rob Roy Glacier.

Considered to be the most scenic one day hike in all of New Zealand's South Island, the track will take you through lowland flats along the Rob Roy Stream and into beech forest with a rich under story of mosses and ferns. As you get higher you'll emerge out of the trees and into the alpine zone, characterised by low tussock vegetation. Impressive overhead hanging glaciers beneath Mount Rob Roy is the highlight of the walk as are the numerous Keas (the only alpine and smartest parrot in the world) flying overhead.
