Via Ferrata is a unique and exciting way to experience the views of Queenstown.
Via Ferrata, or “Iron Way,” uses an engineered pathway with metal rung ladders and fixed cables for your safety. Along with a guide, you’ll experience jaw-dropping Queenstown views, the rush of mountain climbing and you’ll feel a huge sense of accomplishment after completing this course.
The Queenstown Via Ferrata is a perfect introduction to rock climbing – ideal for all ages and abilities. There are different options depending on your keenness and your aversion to heights, but regardless of which you choose, you’ll get the excitement , the scenery, and the experience of a rock climbing experience.
This is New Zealand’s first Via Ferrata climbing system. There are a variety of routes with varying length and difficulty that snake their way up Queenstown Hill. Each route is expertly equipped with fixed rungs and cable systems of the highest standard. The cliffs are set to test all abilities, from easy slopes to exposed overhangs making it a great trip for families, large groups or those wanting to challenge themselves. No previous experience is required.
