Today’s a water day – get up close and personal with the beauty of Abel Tasman National Park on a sea-kayak.
Today, we’re off to Paparoa National Park before the option of either a a trek or a kayaking expedition in the park. Overnight in the serenity of the National Park.
Day 5 starts with a stunning drive down the West Coast of the South Island. The drive from Westport south to Greymouth is often billed one of the most beautiful drives in the world. See if you agree. We reckon you will.
You’ll arrive in Franz Josef in the afternoon, and have all of Day 6 to explore the region.
Leave the West Coast behind today, and head to Makaroa in Mt Aspiring National Park – spend the day surrounded by majestic mountains.

Today you head off to the Adventure Capital of Queenstown. This epic little resort town is surround by mountains and offers up heaps of adventure activities you can choose from. You have an extra day to explore Queenstown.
Travel by ferry across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak and overnight in the historic shearers quarter. Enjoy all that the area has to offer on the shores of Lake Wakatipu.
Today you’re off to Milford Sounds – one of the most stunning areas of New Zealand. Sheer rock faces climb up from the fiords, and you’ll spend the day on a cruise with the opportunity to see marine wildlife.
Head back out along the stunning Milford Road through to Central Otago. This is New Zealand’s historic gold mining region filled with country pubs, friendly locals and rugged, remote and beautiful hills.
Cycle the historic Otago Central Rail Trail – one of New Zealand’s most famous mountain bike rides. Cycle through scenery unspolied by traffic and not visible from any roads. Continue to Christchurch for the evening.
