Taupo Cliffhanger: Taupo’s extreme cliff-face swing, offering visitors a second challenge to the bungy jump or an adrenaline rush in its own right. Giving participants a somewhat false sense of security, they are harnessed in full body and attached in a seated position. Relaxing in their ‘swing seat’ they are gently moved over the edge. A conversation or cup of tea may transpire, and then when least expected the pin is pulled and down they drop. Freefalling from 44 metres above the majestic Waikato River, reaching speeds of over 70kph and arcing up to 180 degrees. This swing is not for the faint-hearted.

Solo and tandem swings available. Try swinging without holding on in a lay-back style or go completely crazy and do it upside down, holding on with only your legs.

• Located within 2kms of Taupo CBD, Taupo Bungy & Cliffhanger is accessible to participants and spectators alike. There is no charge for spectators, who are welcome to watch the action and take photos, from one of the many viewpoints surrounding the bungy and swing platforms.
• Taupo Bungy & Cliffhanger offers free wifi on-site, allowing travelers to relax in one of our beanbags, while they catch up on their social media.
