Getting Planit NZ to help prepare our itinerary for New Zealand was an excellent decision. After spotting Matt's reviews on YouTube, we followed through and contacted Planit NZ, I asked that they help us plan a trip round New Zealand that would not involve us jumping off anything or getting wet! This was a challenge that Matt accepted and with his help we planned a series of destinations, campervan hire, the Tamaki Maori Village experience in Rotorua the Milford Sound Cruise in the South Island and just plain old car hire elsewhere. Plus Matt's advice and knowledge of New Zealand, helped us plan a route and itinerary that suited where wanted to be and what we could do in the time. Absolutely everything went smoothly, everybody was expecting us at the right place and the right time, it was all entirely stress free. My daughter and I travelled from Queenstown to Auckland over a 12 day period June into July 2018. PlanitNZ was great to work with. Timely responses, great deals and lots of help when we needed to plan our itinerary. They were easy to contact if anything was needed during our trip. We rented a car through them, and everything ran smoothly, from the airport pick up, ferry recommendation, to the airport drop off. The car was in mint condition and we had no problems driving, despite our hesitation given the winter season, driving on the left side of the road, and a steering wheel on the right. We recently experienced a true "trip of a lifetime" when we spent three weeks traveling the South Island of New Zealand in February. We couldn't have done it without the awesome team at PlanitNZ! Matthew spent time getting to know us - how we like to travel, what was important to us to see, etc - and then proposed an itinerary that punched all of our buttons! He helped us plan the perfect itinerary, where we saw enough of the different aspects of NZ - beaches, rainforest, towns, mountains - but without spending ridiculous amounts of time in the car. And the car time we had was always interesting and really just another fun part of the trip. We did have a couple glitches during our visit. One of our own making (be sure to take your drivers license if you plan to rent a car, even if you have an international license which you don't really need) and the other Cyclone Gita. In both situations, Matthew and his team were quick to respond and help us figure out how to proceed. Both "crises" ended up just adding a little more color to our travel stories! In addition to planning our itinerary the PlanitNZ team helped us reserve our rental car (and then cancel & refund that car when we messed up and then find us another rental car starting from a different town 5 days later) as well as a couple of excursions. All the arrangements were handled beautifully, with clear instructions on how to execute once we were in NZ. Really, using PlanitNZ was one of the best decisions we made about the entire trip. Recently arrived back from a trip to New Zealand on both the North and South Island. The team with PlanitNZ was incredibly helpful for two recent college graduates that had never planned a trip out of the country before. Responses were always very prompt and informative and we worked with Matt quite a bit. He was incredibly patient with answering all of our questions and providing his personal advice (even when we asked a million questions at times) and even provided feedback on a rough itinerary my partner and I had sketched out by telling us what would work and what things he thought would be impossible to try to cover in our time frame. When I had the opportunity to book a one-week trip to New Zealand I jumped at it–and quickly realized I was in over my head figuring out where to go and what to see. Can't comment on accommodation or meals as we've arranged our own meals and stayed back in Queenstown. However, the premium Milford tour ex-Queenstown is one of the highlights of our stay in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. The bus trip was very restful with interesting commentary by our experienced bus driver, and the Milford Sound cruise is a remarkable experience that would be a must for every visitor. We've deeply appreciated the beauty of our nature, experienced a brief shower at the fresh rain-soaked waterfall by the edges of the deeply carved cliffs, came close to a herd of sun-baking seals, and even got to wave at a passenger cruise ship which was tiny by scale in comparison to the majestic peaks of the Milford mountains. As the weather improved more in the later afternoon, we were able to return home by air which is also another spectacular experience to view the amazing landscape (p.s. having done the helicopter tour a week before, the plane trip was less visceral but a quicker way to return home for dinner!). Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy the best of South Island.

I'm just back from a 3-week road trip with my 16-yo son and we had a blast. Matt and Daisy were fabulous at suggesting and booking many of the activities in the N and S Islands. A couple of the companies they suggested (Dart River Adventures and Glenorchy Air) were particular accommodating of our requests to reschedule activities because of the occasional bouts of wet weather we encountered on our travels, so top marks to them. And also to Jucy for giving us a free upgrade to a Champ, which is basically a Cabana with an extendable cubby-house on top, which tripled our accommodation space in one stroke and was a great hit with my son! All of these were Matt's original suggestions, so a huge thanks to the PlanitNZ crew for really making this a special trip.

In Queenstown ? This is a must do and see. An amazing ride on a vintage steamship across Lake Wakitipu, incredible New Zealand barbecue with local meats, vegetables and jaw dropping desserts with a view that is beyond description. Finish your trip with a sheep shearing demonstration and see how the herding dogs work. Then take your steamship back to beautiful Queenstown. This bus pass is well worth doing. You'll see some great things - the Deep South is an amazing place to be. I recommend spending some extra time in Queenstown (beyond the free day). The Maori village trip is a must do. Our family of 5 loved it. My husband was even chosen as "chief" for our bus. It was a super simple affair which began by our being picked up at our RV park. Our bus driver was utterly AMAZING. I cannot remember his name but he knew how to say hello in 57 languages and knew probably half as many country national anthems. Emmy children were amazed by him. This was such a great trip! I wish I could have made it longer. I had only a little over 2 weeks in NZ but feels like I've been here for months (in a good way) because I was able to do and see so much!! It kept me constantly excited with so many new and exciting activities to do and so many new things to see every day. I felt like doing a loop of the south allowed me to see every single thing that I wanted to, and so much more. The people were great, the atmosphere was great and they couldn't have made it any easier for me to travel, being that I had a strict time schedule. I just came back from my solo trip to South Island (16-27 Sep). It was a very memorable and enjoyable experience seeing the natural beauty of New Zealand and doing some of the iconic activities like Skydiving and Bungy Jumping. Terrific tour with loads of information. It poured rain the entire day of the tour, and I was dreading it because visibility was so limited. But the incredible bonus was thousands of waterfalls that only occur when it is raining. So the tour is a win regardless of weather. Bus is comfortable and stops are adequate. Well worth the price.

Nice and unique experience. Never expect to see such beautiful glowing creature.

Downside on the tour is that the time to see the glowing creature is very short. We were seated on a boat and we did not have any opportunity to be up and close with the creature. Within the next couple of mins, we are already out of the cave and the tour ended.

I will recommend going to Ruakuri cave as you can be really close to the glowing worms. But do note that there will be about 1 hr of walking in the cave. But is worth trying.

The East cape is definitely an underrated destination that I encourage people to visit. I didn't think NZ could get more laid back until heading to the East Cape.

Definitely do not skip the culture nights, I know you'll save money but you're losing out big time. TumuTumu caving was one of my best highlights as well as Hobbiton, and the Lord of the Rings tour in Wellington. I would suggest hopping off in Wellington if possible. One night is not enough and the museum is free and you can spend all day there. This was definitely worth the money and I wish I could've stayed longer.

We had our honeymoon in NZ for over a Month. We explored both islands, it was a journey that we will never forget. Beautiful places, stunning views, nice people. None of this wouldn't be possible without Matt's help. He was the guy who helped us to find a car, because we ran out of time, he gave us helpful informations about where to buy food, which places to visit even he suggested the hostel where we had our first night. We were trying to decide on whether to go for a camper van or car and they were helpful in pointing out the pros and cons. In the end we decided on a car (and would do so again) and the prices they sourced for us were extremely competitive for our 7 week trip.

Hi We did this trip last year mid feb to march
As we are an older couple we opted for the extra payment for our own accommodation not sharing which was a great decision. Our group was mixed age wise as young as 20 and up to 60 not a problem at all.
The advise that matt gave me prior to booking with them was excellent any questions he answered and I asked a lot!
Doubtful sound was fantastic, Helicopter up to Franz Joseph just brilliant and white water rafting in Queenstown for me was the best I even got in to swim twice. Our Guide Gollum was really good lots of information . Otago biking the old railway line was great especially the tunnel where you cannot see for a few seconds. The lodge in Rangatata was the best place ever. the supposedly haunted house in Otago was not !!!!! Just do it
