Conditions of Travel

Planit Travel Group Limited (herein Planit NZ) uses the travel consolidator Website Travel (ABN 37 108 914 594) to handle all funds on behalf of customers booking New Zealand tours or activities. Website Travel is a travel consolidator that is fully bonded by the Travel Compensation Fund in Australia, hence guaranteeing any payments made.

Open dated tickets: You must book your travel dates in advance with the individual Service Provider as per details provided on your voucher. As a general advice we recommend 7-10 days in advance.

Tickets with booked dates: It is your responsibility to ensure you redeem your tickets on the dates booked. If you wish to change these dates please refer to your booking agent.

Bookings must be reconfirmed with the operator directly at least 48 hours prior to travel (the telephone number is provided on each voucher).

CANCELLATION POLICY

Our cancellation policy mirrors that of the supplier. In the case of car, campervan or motorhome hire we charge a 5% service fee on top of the supplier's cancelation fee. 

Credit card fees and fees paid to us for accommodation and luggage storage are not transferable or refundable.

In addition, if a Service Provider charges us for the cancelled travel you must also pay us the amount that we are charged on your behalf by the Service Provider. It is therefore possible your cancellation fees could be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced (for example cancellations made within 24hrs of travel or certain flight bookings). The Cancellation Fee will apply in all cases where a tour is able to run. For example, if you are unable to reach a tour due to an “act of God” (for example a road is cut off due to flooding) the normal Cancellation Fee will apply if the tour still runs in your absence or would have run but for your absence. If a tour or other travel service is cancelled by the Service Provider, we will refund you the amount paid for the tour or other travel service less a 10% administration fee (“Admin Fee”). This full refund minus admin fee is subject to a fully refundable amount being given to us from the supplier who is cancelling.

We highlight here that all suppliers have different cancellation terms, and is on a case by case basis. Please note that in the case of Natural Disasters (eg flood, fire, cyclone, etc) many service providers do not offer any refund, hence we cannot provide a refund to you. We strongly recommend Travel Insurance to cover this situation.

The 10% Admin Fee does not apply to: Dive Courses where you fail a Dive Medical test; or Skydives cancelled by the Service Provider within 3 days of booking due to weather, and a full refund will apply.

Whilst we normally attempt to process refunds swiftly, situations (such as natural disasters) may result in up to 30 days processing time, due to high volume.

2. Advertised Prices: Planit NZ sometimes lists prices for activities or excursions around New Zealand. These are accurate at the time of publishing but might change before your date of arrival. Although Planit NZ have done our absolute best to ensure the information contained here is as accurate as possible, we accept no liability for the use of the content and cannot be held responsible for any situations arriving from its use.

3. Planit NZ does not assume any responsibility for the content, opinions, information, data or materials available on such third party sites. A link to a third party site does not imply that Planit NZ endorses the site, the products or the services referenced in such third party sites.

4. While Planit NZ will take all reasonable steps to maintain the Website, Planit NZ does not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted or error free. Planit NZ may modify or withdraw access to the Website at any time, and shall not be liable for any changes to, suspension or discontinuation of the Website.

5. While Planit NZ takes every effort to maintain updated tour itinerary and inclusions, these are subject to change.

Planit NZ shall not be liable for any claim, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, including as a result of any errors or omissions in the information included on the Website; any interruption to, failure of operation or transmission of the Website; any computer virus or unauthorised access to the Website; any alteration to the Website; or any inability to access the Website.

7. Planit NZand its employees, officers, directors and shareholders shall be released and held harmless from and against all losses, damages, costs and claims suffered or incurred due to or arising out of any breach of these terms and conditions, or any other act or omission by you using the Website.

8. In the event of any dispute or litigation arising in connection with any access to, or use of the Website, there shall be no dispute as to the admissibility as evidence, or any challenge to the validity of these terms and conditions.

9. Any information provided on Planit NZ is provided at your own risk. Planit NZ will make every effort to ensure that this website is secure yet no information sent over the Internet is totally secure and you provide information at your own risk.

10. The Terms & Conditions may change without notice – we advise you to check whenever you use the website.
